Water:

A base fee of $23.84 is charged to all properties with a tap.  Each water user is then charged an additional $2.95 per thousand gallons used.

The Town purchases water from Cental Weld Water District and distributes it to the citizens through a gravity system utilizing the water tank located on the south side of town in Water Tower Park. The water distribution system in Kersey needs attention.  Many of the water lines in old town are 4 inch lines from the 1920's and are unable carry water at needed pressures.  Several fire hydrants are also very old and need to be replaced. 

The Town is actively pursuing grants to replace old water lines and fire hydrants. 

Wastewater:       

A base fee of $31.44 is charged to anyone who has a tap.  An additional $4.14 is charged per 1000 gallons of water used based on the average of water used during the winter months of December, January, and February.   

Kersey has a modern Sequential Batch Reactor Wastewater plant that was built in 2007.  This state of the art facility is at less than half capacity and was built to sustain significant future growth. 

Billing:
